Hello, I'm Mia
I'm a project manager, a parent, and an expat based in Berlin, Germany.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Germany wasn't part of the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The first months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks felt more cumbersome than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of on-the-job learning. Yet gradually, routines settled in. We found places that suited us, met other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Built CloudMeadowPath
Most online information was either corporate relocation advice or surface-level tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Germany.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Real-world insights gained from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored-review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Germany goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I will keep recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Mia
